The GTS competition heats up!

Sunday was a great day for racing! Warm weather and a cloud free sky saw an impressive turn out of 2000 competitors for GTS Race 3 in Sandringham, Victoria. It was an action packed day with a sprint distance race, the Brooks Fun Tri and the headlining event, the Olympic Distance tri.

The crowds of spectators were rewarded with an awesome display from the Elite pros, with a core group of contenders fiercely battling it out for line honours.

Madeline Oldfield was a clear winner in the Elite Women’s division, with Race 2 winner Elly Franks hanging on for second place. Oldfield is shaping up as a likely series winner but no doubt Franks will come out in full force at Race 4 in Elwood, the same course she topped the topped the podium at before Christmas.

Be there on January 31st to see some series triathlon competition, and of course check out the ASCEND display!
