Johanna Shaw’s Update from Vancouver

Joh Shaw, ASCEND believer and Australian Winter Olympian, dropped us a line from Canada to let us know how her preparations are going. She gave us an insight into the Opening Ceremony and how it feels to be part of the amazing spectacle.

“We had to wait for 2 hours and then the opening ceremony started and you could feel the buzz from the athletes. As we got closer and closer to the entrance I started to get more emotional and thought I was going to cry of happiness, but as we walked out on the stage I could here the crowd roar and I was so happy to represent Australia at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.”

Joh will compete in the PGS Snowboarding on February 26th and says the signs are good for a great result. “Training is going well; I'm starting to feel solid and confident on my board again and am enjoying life.”

We’ll be watching and cheering you on Joh!
