Back to Back Winners at GTS Race 2, Elwood!

Sunday December 12th saw the second race of the Gatorade Triathlon Series 2010/2011 in Elwood, Victoria. Rough conditions in the bay weren’t enough to deter over 2,000 competitors.

Proving there is enormous talent out there in tri world, both the men’s and women’s Elite division winners made it a two for two double. Madeleine Oldfield beat Anna Coldham and Kate Murphy, while Brendan Sexton was too strong for newcomer Tim Clarke and Jamie Huggett. Oldfield and Sexton will be the ones to watch in the next GTS race at Sandringham on January 9th. ‘The Melbourne Triathlon’ will include an Olympic Distance race with a 1500m swim, followed by a 40km ride and finishing with a 10km run.
