Weightman wins 12km at Perth City to Surf!
30.08.10 Lisa Weightman has won the 12km event at this weekend’s Perth City to Surf in a record breaking time of 40:15. This is great preparation for Weightman who will compete in the marathon at the Delhi Commonwealth games in just 45 days.

24.08.10 Australia’s number one marathon runner, and long-time believer in ASCEND proteins, will take on the 12km distance at the City to Surf this weekend as part of her warm up for the Delhi Commonwealth Games. Weightman will be making numerous appearances during her trip West where she’ll be giving out training tips, ASCEND samples and more. Read more here…

20.08.10 In his first race back since injuring his achilles in June, ASCEND believer Joe Gambles has beaten out fellow Aussies Paul Ambrose and Luke Bell to take a win in Washington State. Gambles, who also won last year’s race, looks like his form of previous seasons could be returning, and will take on the Timberman 70.3 this weekend.
Weightman to Run Perth City to Surf
13.08.10 ASCEND believer and champion marathon runner Lisa Weightman will take part in the Perth City to Surf on August 29. Weightman will run the 12km distance in an effort not to overtrain for the fast approaching Delhi Commonwealth Games. Read more about Australia’s leading marathon runner here…

01.04.10 Recently, two ASCEND believers completed the gruelling 250km Atacama Crossing adventure race. Melbourne law student Samantha Gash and Sydneysider Daniel Trevena spent six days running through a rainless plateau of salt lakes, lava flows and sand in Chile. The 2010 GTS Wraps up...
22.03.10 The sixth and final GTS race took place yesterday at Catani Gardens in St Kilda, with a massive 2400 triathletes taking part. Peter Kerr and Beijing Olympian Erin Densham were winners on the day in fine but windy conditions.
Congratulations go to the 2010 GTS series winners; Peter Kerr in the men’s category and Madeline Oldfield in the women’s.
We’ve loved every minute of being part of the GTS this season and hope to be back later in the year for more!
Next up for ASCEND is the 2XU Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride in Torquay this Saturday. We’ll be there with drinks, bars and more for all riders…see you there!
Lisa Weightman wins Back to Back Run For The
Kids!
15.03.10 ASCEND believer Lisa Weightman has taken out the women’s title in the 2010 Run For The Kids in a time of 48.09, beating her winning time of last year. This latest win comes as Lisa gears up for the Delhi Commonwealth Games to be held in October. Over 30,000 people took part in yesterday’s run which supports the Good Friday Appeal.

01.03.10 Australian Winter Olympian and ASCEND believer Johanna Shaw has come 19th in the Parallel Giant Slalom snowboarding event in Vancouver. 15.02.10 What a great day yesterday at GTS 5 in picturesque Portarlington! The storm clouds held off and Paul Attard took out his first Elite Men's title of the 2009/10 series in a close finish. 08.02.10 ASCEND sponsored rugby union team, Sydney University Football Club, will depart today for a tour of Argentina.

GTS 4 – Elwood
01.02.10 Elise Clayton, a relative unknown on the triathlon scene, has come out of nowhere to take out the Elite Women’s category at GTS 4 in Elwood this Sunday. Clayton’s blitzing run leg saw her beat out Erin Ganglehoff in second and seasoned campaigner Renee Lane in third. In the Men’s category, 70.3 champion Leon Griffin triumphed in hot and windy conditions, beating out Gareth Halverson and Peter Robertson. Peter Kerr, winner of the previous three races, didn’t quite make it onto the podium this week, finishing fourth. Check out photos from the day here…
Johanna Shaw Makes Winter Olympic Team!
28.01.10 ASCEND believer Johanna Shaw has been selected in the snowboarding team for the Vancouver Winter Olympics in the Parallel Giant Slalom event. Joh, who made her Olympic debut at Torino in 2006, comes from Melbourne and is an avid user of our Elite Recovery powder and Recovery bars.
