Taking on Asia's cycling elite

Jai Crawford, the most recent addition to the family of ASCENDing STARS has moved to China to take on a challenging program of cycling events throughout Asia in 2008.

Jai Crawford holds the Tour of Siam Winners' TrophyJai literally walked into the Terry White Pharmacy in Hobart just before Christmas, purchased some ASCEND Elite Recovery, and four days later, couldn’t believe how good he felt. Jai says he was surprised at how “fresh” his legs felt long into his training sessions since taking the ASCEND Elite Recovery, and that he especially noticed this during long hill climbs where the power in his quadriceps didn’t fade over the training sessions any more.

Jai has been training hard riding up to 1000kms in a week, preparing for the year ahead.  However, riding for the Trek-Marco Polo Jai will face some interesting training challenges.  At his new home in China, the temperature over the past weeks has averaged -4°C so all of his training is now indoors.  A stark contrast to the long sunny days of an Australian summer.

Looking to back up his success in winning the Tour of Siam in Thailand in 2007, Jai, and his Trek Marco Polo teamates will compete in an event packed program in many different Asian destinations during 2008, commencing in LangKawi, Malaysia, later this month.
