After joining the ASCEND Elite team earlier this year Jai Crawford (who celebrated his marriage last month) has stepped onto the podium six times in international events including 2nd overall in the Tour of Japan; considered one of the toughest races in the world.  Add this achievement to his ten ‘Top 10’ international results and as he says “its easy to see Ascend has given me an edge this year”.

Its been a whirl wind year for Jai who returned from a crash in July/August to post some impressive stage results in the Tour of Thailand in September; finishing up 11th overall.

Heading back to Japan next to compete in the Japan Cup on the 26th October; Jai, described by his own team as “a spectacular climber” eagerly awaits the 170km one day event that features some daunting mountainous country.

“It would be difficult to find an environment more stressful for an elite athlete than the one I'm in.  I can do it because of a special little lady but Ascend has definitely helped.  Ascend Catalyst and Recovery has kept me strong, healthy and well recovered across the season and given the circumstances that's no small compliment to Ascend.”
