Jai Crawford is King of the Mountain in Wellington
Jai Crawford has put his tough training over summer into practice, with a performance including a clean sweep of all three mountain classifications during stage three of the Tour of Wellington; handing him a clear win in the King of the Mountain challenge this week in New Zealand.
The hit out has meant a great start to the season; finishing 8th overall in the five day event and helping his Australian based Savings & Loads Team to achieve a 4 min 15 second overall victory for the tour (see results).
Jai has used his New Zealand hit out as preparation for an assault on Le Tour de Langkawi, coming up in Malaysia in mid February. Considered the biggest road race in Asia; Jai has found that by using ASCEND Elite Recovery during his training and throughout long seven day events, such as Langkawi, it helps return the muscle strength in his legs each day; which may prove the edge in achieving his next aim of a podium finish at the esteemed event.
